This Charizard ex sat untouched in my friends binder for 20 years! 😱

A simple text from a friend turned into a half year journey. My friend Mike reached out one day asking for advice about his old Pokémon card binders. We were both in an upcoming wedding, so I asked him to bring the binder with him and I would take a look! As we flipped through his old collection, there were so many great cards inside, but then I saw it. A pristine, pack fresh Charizard ex just sitting in a 3 ring binder all this time.

I helped him get this card graded along with other cards from his collection so they could be properly preserved. Even though this whole process took six months, moments like this remind me why I love Pokémon to this day. I am grateful I was able to help him through this process in grading his Charizard ex! Wild it came back a PSA 9 after all this time!

Goodbye Charizard ❤️

I picked up this 1st Edition Shadowless Charizard nearly 17 years ago for $50 from a small card shop in Salem, Massachusetts. It sat in my collection through college, becoming a League Leader, starting my business, meeting my wife, and adopting our two dogs. It was always just… there.

In 2023, I finally sent it to PSA. It came back an 8, and I held onto it for three more years. As Pokémon celebrates its 30th anniversary, my wife and I felt like it was time. Letting it go was bittersweet, but this card was part of my journey, not the destination. Goodbye, Charizard. Thank you for the memories and Happy Pokémon Day!

Jumping into my childhood! 🏰

Super Nintendo World was complete immersion! It truly felt like stepping directly into the Mushroom Kingdom. The colors, the details, the sound effects, it honestly felt surreal being inside something that used to live only on a screen.

From Peach’s Castle to Bowser’s Castle to Donkey Kong Country, every corner was packed with nostalgia. Easily one of the coolest theme park experiences I have ever had. And yes, that is coming from a fully realized Disney Adult!

Wow! Another year has already come to an end. There were many challenges and it was honestly quite difficult at times, but I have also made a lot of progress and growth.

Working alongside @realbreakingnate continues to be so rewarding. In fact, as of today I have officially edited over 850 videos for the channel since I started working with him. Entering my fifth year as his full time video editor still feels unreal. It is incredible to look back at everything we have accomplished together over the years. Thank you for being such a wonderful friend Nate, I love you man!

One really special moment this year was creating custom sleeves for Nate to hand out at Pokémon Worlds 2025 in Anaheim CA! I even signed 50 of them as a chase variant, which meant more to me than I can put into words. I have a few left over that Nate gave to me, and both he and @basically_marie14 signed it for me too!

This year I also produced more content for my own YouTube channel, including videos focusing on our collection room upgrades. Turning that space into a tiny museum was something I had dreamed about for a long time, and I am beyond happy with how it turned out. More videos are on the way!

Oh and how could I forget, this year I also completed a huge collection goal of mine by finally adding in the Eevee Flareon Poncho and Eevee Stadium cards into my Flareon Master Set!

My home office has seen meaningful upgrades this year, including a custom built desktop powerhouse that I use every day for editing and creating content. To keep it tidy, I just finished improving the cable management, swapped out my keyboard for a 75% hall effect model, added a UPS system, and made other practical quality of life improvements.

Through it all, I am endlessly grateful for my wife Kate and our doggy daughters Scrabble and Lola. Without their support, none of this would be possible.

Here is to more growth, more creativity, and hopefully meeting more of you in 2026! Happy New Years everyone! 🥳❤️

I recently had another submission with TGA, and when I went to pick the order up, I learned that sadly, TGA was closing their doors after four years of business. It came as a huge shock to me. I've been lucky enough to partner with them on multiple occasions and I truly love how unique their customization options were from unique colorful labels based on the franchise, to their special Flow label designs, extending cart artworks.

TGA has been a great option for so many, with their entire mission to make grading 'By the Collector, For the Collector.'

I absolutely love the cards found inside of the set, but with lack of availability... this set has become very difficult to collect... So I recently traded for the Flareon ex SIR in English for my Flareon Master Set! Though, due to the market values of the other card artworks that I was interested in collecting from the set, I've opted to instead acquire the Japanese SAR variants. Including both the Glaceon and Leafeon ex SAR's. They are much more cost effective this way, and I can still admire the beautiful artworks!

@gradedguard recently released a new Triple Row Storage Box organizer, holding up to 36 GradedGuard cases for your graded slabs!

When they announced this, I purchased it as soon as it became available. I don't have a huge graded collection, but having a storage box that fits GradedGuard cases was a huge selling point to me, as I've been looking for a case that could fit them for a while. It looks amazing and is very durable and high quality. I definitely recommend this storage box if you are actively looking for more ways to organize your graded collections!

What an incredible year it's been! Working alongside my close friend @realbreakingnate I’m thrilled to share that over the past nearly four years, I’ve now completed over 630 video edits for the channel so far. Phew, that is a lot!

With the daily workload, I’ve upgraded and refined my tiny home office space several times this year, transforming it into a functional space, from everything from video editing to gaming.

I've made a lot of progress with my collection goals, which opened up exciting new opportunities. One highlight was collaborating with @tgacards here in New Hampshire, giving me the chance to grade some truly remarkable cards with them.

And perhaps the biggest change in 2024—welcoming another doggy daughter! Her name is Lola Bean, she is our sweet little pocket pittie (Staffordshire Terrier) and she has brought so much joy to our little family. Our first doggy daughter, Scrabble (Pitbull Terrier) has been incredibly welcoming to her new sister too!

I can’t wait to see what 2025 has in store!

Finally picked up this amazing card, featuring all of the Eeveelutions! Well, all of the Eeveelutions at the time when this card released in 2012. It was right before Sylveon's debut for XY. This Pokemon Center Stadium (or Eevee Stadium) card, was given out at Pokemon Center's in Japan in 2012 as part of a promotion.

Now, I am just missing the Eevee Flareon Poncho card for my Flareon collection! Well, until Prismatic Evolutions... 🫣

I recently attended @gonebrokecon in Manchester NH, and while at the convention, I learned that @michele_knotz was a special guest! She has been the voice actress of Misty, May, Jessie, Nurse Joy and so many other beloved Pokémon characters in the anime since 2006! 🌊

So I picked up this PSA 9 graded Starmie V Trainer Gallery card and I asked Michele to sign it for me! She was awesome to meet and having this card signed by Misty's voice actress was so so cool!

Simplified Chinese Graded Pokemon Cards! 😍

The fact that these Ceremony & Festival Trainer cards and even the Lucario VSTAR Rainbow Rare (that was not released in English) are available in Simplified Chinese, is incredible! Let alone other amazing Alternate Art Pokemon cards in the language. After receiving these cards, I knew I needed to get them graded with @tgacards and to display them inside of @gradedguard cases! They look absolutely stunning!

My wife wanted to get her Magikarp IR card graded too, so we opted to get TGA's Flow label (extending the card artwork) for her card grading, along with my S-Chinese Celebi V Alt Art, since I didn't have any Flow label cards in my collection.

For the longest time I've wanted an Official Flareon Side Loading Binder and thanks to the recent release of Simplified Chinese Pokémon Products, it is now a reality! 🔥

Flareon is my favorite Pokémon and I have collected every unique TCG artwork (minus Appearance Cards). So this binder is a perfect home for them!

I've even dedicated a page inside of this binder for Signed cards! Pokémon GO Fest 2024 has come to a close! 🥳

Myself and my wife Kate finally had the chance to attend a GO Fest in person this year in NYC, for the first time! Today and yesterday, we also played all of Global GO Fest. I love this game so much and have been playing daily since it came out. Really happy with the new Shiny Haul I picked up over the past week since being in NYC!

During GO Fest NYC, aside from overcoming the sweltering heat, we also had the chance to hang out with so many wonderful people. Pokémon really does bring so many people together! 🙌🏻
